Many of you asked me for advice on which investing books to read. That’s why I created a list composed by 10 books, so you can get an idea of which books I consider important.

Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham
This is, in Warren Buffett’s opinion, the best book on investing ever written. It talks about many important and interesting arguments, like value investing, buy-and hold investing, diversification. You absolutely need to read this book if you’re interested in investing.
The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley
This book will teach you that really rich people are everywhere, also where you don’t imagine. And more important, they do not earn as much as you think. There are many preconceptions about them, and this book will destroys all of them.
The Essays of Warren Buffett by Warren Buffett
In this Book Buffett talks about what he learned from Benjamin Graham. I think that reading a book written by one of the best investors of all time is useful for all of us. We can learn a lot by reading this book.
A Random Walk down Wall Street by Burton G. Malkiel
The author speaks about many interesting investment techniques, that we can use to start earning money in the stock market in the short-term. Malkiel also points out how these techniques do not properly work in the long term.
Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits by Philip Fisher
This is one of Warren Buffett’s favourite books, and he admitted that he learned a lot from this book. It is a little bit outdated, but I think it can still be a good read for those like me want to truly understand the stock market.
The Elements of Investing by Burton G. Malkiel
This book helps the beginner investor to understand the importance of the long-term and how to properly focus on it. Burton also explains how much is important to be disciplined while investing, otherwise it’s not possibile to obtain good results in the long-term.
The Only Guide to a Winning Investment Strategy You’ll Ever Need by Larry E. Swedroe
The author explains why we should reconsider passive investments and why we should absolutely include them in our portfolio. In this book we also find studies that shows that in many cases passive investments outperforms active investments.
The Quest for Alpha: The Holy Grail of Investing by Larry E. Swedroe
Swedroe wrote this book to explain that trying to beat the market is very difficult and only a small percentage of investors succeed. We all need to study a lot before understand how to succeed in beating the market consistently.

The Four Pillars of Investing: Lessons for Building a Winning Portfolio by William J. Bernstein
The author tries to teach us the 4 most important lessons for building a winning portfolio. The book also speaks about all the dangers related to actively picking stocks, the importance of diversification and how to reduce the expenses.
Common Sense on Mutual Funds by John C. Bogle
This book provides an extensive insights on investing in mutual funds. It has been recently updated, and I think it is a must read for those who want to learn more about this particular topic.
